Have not heard about the base or price yet but they will not have opening features but will have rubber tires.

Can you spare an extra diecast?

If they are similiar in price to Jada and Maisto, I will definately start getting these!! It also helps that I have a Target literally across the street from me!

Mmmmmm, I like them all. I wish they'd come to WalMart.

Is it just me, or do diecast companies have a hard time getting the size of the headlights on the 1970 Boss 302 correct? On most 1/64 cars I've seen, they always look too small. Maybe I need new glasses.

I like the big meats in the back and little meats in the front.....but there is not enough sidewall on the back tires. May the person who "invented" the low profile tire rot in hell.

Fred/Sean..Is that a plastic clamshell? When I started reading your description about 'moms and dads and their kids', I thought kewl!

One of the reasons my grandkids enjoy the Hot Wheels mainlines and new J/L 40th series is that they can open them. Part of a kids excitement is in freeing the car from its cell and see it roll for the 1st time.

I can't count the number of times I have cut, pinched and cussed opening clamshells. Put a pile of carded cars in front of the kids and the fun begins. Add a couple clamshell types and they will lay there until they are tired of playing with the already freed cars.

Bkalland...I open almost all the various diecast I buy, I use a good type of scissors, or shears,...I start at a corner and cut along the narrow clear space between the sealed,crimped edge and the raised part of the clamshell ,,I stop at the top and cut off this , the I cut the bottom ,the same way, then the remaining other side...This free's the car and you also can the replace car ,later, if you want, a piece of tape on the bottom to secure the clamshell...Hope this may be useful!! No clam shell for the Drivers line. We went old school for these, cardboard back with clear plastic around the car & base only. You still need a screw driver to free the car from the base, then you can have fun with them. Just watch out for the speed traps.

Don't worry, new large tires & rims with a nice sidewall are currently in development.

I think it kindof sucks that nothing opens on these cars if that is true. I got hooked on M2 when I seen the hood and doors opened and now these ones don't. That sucks because these cars are awesome. I will still buy some of them but I would have bought them all if the doors and hood opened. Sean is there a reason you guys didn't make them with opening feautures? Other then the non opening thing these cars kick as$ Sean. Good job once again. Keep these awesome cars coming.

Great Cars for sure but I see that M2 is going down the path of which every Corp does and that
is " cut in production costs " which means Plastic Bottoms on the Car - No Opening of Doors or
Hoods - No more Rubber Tires - and the biggest cut of all is the packaging style that these Corps
go through in cutting cost ........This will only hurt a Corp with the Collectors who collect and keep
there Cars inside the clams. For the openers " we don't care " We encourage to cut the package
costs and that's all as we can care less for extra garbage like clam shells etc. Now the question is,
is the price for each Car reasonable to be purchased?

That's the biggest question.....If these are too high like they have been priced before at $4.99 I'll be
waiting for them to be clearanced.....

The price point on these is $2.99 each. Good enough for me. Plastic bases don't bother me as they don't affect the display value. I'd rather see a good shiny chrome on plastic than the poor attempt with polished bare metal or silver paint.

'Cause cardboard and a plastic blister won't roll!
