I think many collectors look at the hobby as an inexpensive exercise and don't understand or consider their expense in time. Many collectors, especially new collectors think in terms of "it's only a dollar car". Therefore its an inexpensive hobby.

Other seasoned collectors usually step up to higher price/quality items. If they get into displays or even simple customs, the expense can be staggering. My experience/cost with model trains and layouts of all scales leaves me appreciating everything your page has mentioned. .

You will see me on your site with money in hand as soon as I get settled in Denver. 2016 is going to be the beginning of my last effort to enjoy this hobby with help from my own experience and experts like you.
