OOH boy!! I am absent for a couple days travel and its bash M2 time. Some people need to remember that fault is placed with the seller (WalMart) and not necessarily with the manufacture. I'm sure M2 would have loved to sell WalMart double or triple the amount that WalMart wanted. With due respect, everyone needs to remember its WalMart that placed the order. It's WalMart that decides what stores get what merchandise from what manufacture.
As evidenced by post's even on this thread, it was WlaMart that made the diecast selections and dropped certian items or companys. I have just traveled 816 miles. While stopping in 8 different cities, I visited 10 of their stores of which only one had any....1/64 1/24 M2 product. That one store was in Amarillo, Tex. It had some left over 1/64 and new Shelby & 100th Chevrolet 1/64 along with 9 1/24 scale M2s. That one store also had 8 or so of the Auto Haulers. In 1/24 there was one each color of the new truck set but no chase set. All the other 1/24s were Chevrolets and Cudas.
All the other stores had some HotWheels pegged but no other manufacture like J/L or even Jada. Bottom line is WalMart makes the decision what store and how many of an item or manufacture there will be in the diecast isle.
