Gary, Mattel did claim that they were probably produced
in smaller numbers than BASIC treasure hunts.
I believe they even said that they were comparable
in number to SUPER hunts.

That being said, as Kagey did the math, it's far too high
a number to sustain a high secondary market value.
If I find them, great. If not, I can wait. There's only
a couple of them that I would like to own anyway.

With this not being the first time that Walmart wound
up with redline tires, I suspect some favors being done.

I couldn't believe it when they got rubber tires on the
Birthday cars for $1.50. Mattel had long asserted that
models with rubber wheels would command a higher
price point. Higher being around $3.00. How the
heck did WM get them for a $1.50 retail piece?
