I am new to these little cars and I am amazed on the detail some of you guys get. I want to start to make some custom creations of my on. I want to start
off simple at first. Simple repaint wheel swaps then advnce to the next level as I learn the basics.
I have bought a few items needed to get me going. Air Brush Compressor, air/water seperator, and a decent quality air brush. I read up somehere that you can
use nail polish to paint these cars. I have 3 daughters so I have an almost unlimited supply of colors.
A few questions I have is.
Where to get the awesome wheels that I see some of you guys/gals using
Where to et waterslide decals from. 1/64 Scale. I want a set like the Yenko Camaro
And any other advice you may have.

Welcome to the Shack and to customizing. You have made an excellent start with the tools you have bought and by joining us here. LOL. Most of us get wheels by
buying donor cars. Most donors are higher priced castings on clearance at places like Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc. We also stock up when the big box
retailers have clearance sales. Right now Target is clearing some lines and WM has some cars in plastic cases for fifty cents. Johnny Lightning used to sell
some custom wheel sets but you are unlikely to run into those. Some customizers don't care about cost and just buy the donors at retail. (I have seen
customs with more than $2o worth of donors). As for decals, a couple of the guys who frequent here sell decals. Try Mark at ScaleMaster
