This one is for fans of the Hot Wheels 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
In 1998, Mattel debuted the First Editions "Mustang Mach I," designed by Phil Riehlman. It featured a metal body, plastic base, plastic louver/spoiler, shaker hood scoop and hood-mounted tachometer.
In 2007, Mattel released a retooled version of the car, renaming it slightly as "'70 Mustang Mach 1." Making its first appearance in the Holiday Rods series, the car introduced a metal chassis (molded to include both the taillights and front grille as a single assembly), did away with the hood-mounted tach but kept the shaker hood scoop and plastic louver/spoiler.
Each version of the HW Mach 1 has its benefits and drawbacks. Cast your vote, and if you're so inclined, please add a few words about the reason for your choice.
Looking forward to the replies!
