Windows 7 is out. I'm going to buy it. I've always been like that with technology. Have to stay up with new technology on the market, be it computer OS's, phones, TV's, etc.

So my son and I were talking about technology (he's a senior at college) and I was recalling how things used to be in the '50s and '60s, and how technology has replaced the way we used to do stuff. Then it came to things that will NEVER change - particularly things that just cannot be replaced. What sort of eating oddities do you have? No disorders, LOL, just odd behavior.

For instance, if I eat a sandwich and chips or burger and fries, I always eat the chips/fries from the smallest to the largest. No idea why, I just do.

Last night an ice cream truck was cruising my neighborhood. Nothing unusual there, except his melodies were all Christmas music. And I've already seen a couple of Holiday themed commercials on TV.

What's your take on the ever earlier start to the Christmas season? Personally, I think that advertising or setting up store displays should be held back until Dec 1. Same with all holidays. Referencing Barb's 'Back Home' thread-how many of us scour stores when on road trips, and how big of a regional variance do you see in brands/models/etc?

For me, I travel often with the RV, and visit mostly small towns. I've had some pretty good hits in small grocers, albeit slightly more than a buck for mainlines, but worth it. I don't know about your area, but in my area, one local WalMart Plan-O-Gram shows a very grim outlook in the diecast aisle. Less brand choice, smaller peg racks. Have you seen your local store plans yet? Is the hobby slowing evolving into an online only market for anything more than $1.00 cars?

My biggest peeve is turn signals. I swear, the area of South Texas has to be the absolute worst area for the lack of use. That and left lane snoozers. They drive me nuts.

I tow a fairly large travel trailer often, and consider myself a very good driver. I practice good towing procedures even when not towing, just to keep in practice.
